Weekends are for waffles, and you don’t want to be caught with pale, floppy rectangles laying sadly on your plate. Unlike their flat friends (pancakes, that is) that can get by with most any pan, a truly spectacular waffle needs an excellent waffle maker. So when the All-Clad Belgian Waffle maker churned out well-browned waffles even in the deepest divots, we knew it was worth the price tag. And right now, it’s $35 (20%) off.

Why It Won Our Review

There’s no getting around it—the All-Clad is the priciest waffle maker we tested and recommended (to be clear, the 4-square version is on sale, whereas our winner is the 2-square model). But the results make it clear that this waffle maker is worth it. To start, it heats up fast, and stays hot—cooking waffles quickly and needing just a little recovery time. Waffles emerged browned on both sides, crispy, and with deep nooks for holding extra butter and syrup. We also appreciated this model’s drip tray, which caught any spills for easy clean up. And it has simple controls—just turn the dial to one of its seven settings and its indicator light will tell you when it's preheated. Plus, it’s literally gleaming: It’s surely the prettiest, best functioning waffle maker out there.

FAQs

How long does the All-Clad Belgian Waffle Maker take to heat up?

The All-Clad Belgian Waffle maker heats up quickly, and should be ready to cook waffles after just 10 minutes. All-Clad recommends preheating the waffle maker on setting number seven for best results, but since not every waffle batter is the same, you might find that tweaking the preheating settings or time yields better results.

How long does the All-Clad Belgian Waffle Maker take to cook waffles?

The All-Clad Belgian Waffle Maker has a quick cook time, and can brown waffles thoroughly in just four minutes. While it has indicator lights to help see when a waffle is ready, we found that it’s best to check yourself and that this model (like all the other ones we tested) took slightly longer to reach the color we wanted.
