Arlyn Osborne is a recipe developer and food writer who studied at the French Culinary Institute in New York City. Her work can be found on Food Network, the Kitchn, Spruce Eats, Bon Appetit, and The Washington Post. She loves sweet and savory baking and draws inspiration from her European and Asian heritage. A self-proclaimed pop-historian, she enjoys digging up the origin stories of all foods. When she’s not working, she’s probably lost in a period drama or out in the garden using her hands instead of a shovel.

Experience

After graduating from the French Culinary Institute in New York City, Arlyn worked on the food and editorial team at Food & Wine Magazine. After this, she spent time as a food stylist working with various brands such as NBC, Amazon, and TLC. She later landed a position as a culinary producer for Discovery Channel’s Food.com where she also developed recipes and created over-the-top bakes, her favorite being a Harry Potter Castle Cake. Arlyn has since been a regular recipe developer and cooking host for Food Network Kitchen. She is an avid lover of food history and is a member of the Culinary Historians of New York.
