This rum cocktail is just a little boozy and just a little sweet, with fresh lime to keep it bright. Think of it as a little island escape. This recipe is adapted from Ginger Bliss and The Violet Fizz by A.J. Rathbun.

Barbados Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients

  • Crushed ice

  • 1 ounce Velvet Falernum

  • 1 1/2 ounces dark rum, such as Coruba

  • 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed juice from 1 to 2 limes

Directions

  1. Fill mixing glass halfway full with crushed ice. Add falernum, rum, and lime juice. Shake for 15 seconds. Strain into cocktail glass and serve immediately.
