Doris Lam is a Hong Kong-Canadian lifestyle journalist and chef. Her work has appeared in The Telegraph, BBC, Vice, Huffington Post, Tatler Asia, and South China Morning Post. Her interest in cooking grew as she interviewed chefs for work. In 2023, she moved to the U.K. to work and study as an apprentice chef. In her free time, you'll find her huddled in the cookbook section of bookstores, foraging wild garlic, studying menus, and trying out complicated recipes at home.
Education
Doris is currently completing a culinary apprenticeship with English Lakes Hotels and Kendal College in the Lake District, UK. She has staged in Michelin restaurants, including chef Simon Rogan's L'Enclume and Gilpin Hotel's Source. She is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong with a degree in English Literature and a minor in Journalism. She was previously awarded a Creative Writing certificate from the University of East Anglia and The British Council.
