Emma Janzen is a journalist, photographer, book author, and digital content editor at Imbibe Magazine. Her first book, Mezcal: The History, Craft and Cocktails of the World's Ultimate Artisanal Spirit (2017), was nominated for a James Beard Foundation award in 2018. She is also the co-author, with Julia Momosé, of The Way of the Cocktail (2021) and a contributor to David Wondrich's The Oxford Companion to Spirits and Cocktails (2021). She is currently working on The Bartender's Manifesto with Toby Maloney of The Violet Hour. Emma lives in Chicago with her husband and color-coordinated cats.
