Chef Kevin Gillespie is the owner of Atlanta restaurants Gunshow, Revival, and Cold Beer. He has been nominated for several James Beard Awards for his cooking, and his first cookbook, Fire in My Belly (2012), was a James Beard finalist in the American Cooking category. He is also the author of the cookbook Pure Pork Awesomeness (2015). Kevin parlayed his national recognition as “fan favorite” on the sixth season of Bravo’s Top Chef into a crusade to show the cuisine of his southern roots. He is a member of Slow Food Atlanta, the Southern Foodways Alliance, the Community Farmers Markets Chefs Advisory Board, Georgia Organics, and the Society for the Preservation of Traditional Southern Barbecue.
