Kristin Griffin jumped into the culinary world working at America's Test Kitchen and editing cookbooks for Da Capo Lifelong Press. She was the inaugural recipient of the food-writer-in-residence at the Noepe Center for Literary Arts on Martha's Vineyard.

She writes fiction and personal essays, along with food writing for publications like Paste Magazine, Edible Vineyard, and the Daily Meal. Griffin teaches food writing at Oregon State University and has been nominated twice for the Pushcart Prize.

"A lobster roll (cold! with a little mayo!) with sea salt and vinegar chips tucked into the bun."

"Calabrian chile paste for its clean, nose-clearing heat and the way it lifts everything it touches."
