Lisa Chernick fell for food and cooking while living in Rome as a grad student studying Italian Literature. She left academia to start a career as a food writer and editor by interning at Food Arts magazine, and never looked back! Lisa went on to Epicurious.com, and Weight Watchers’s website, magazine, and cookbooks. She studied culinary arts at ICE in New York and has been a James Beard Book Awards Judge and a James Beard Awards nominee for digital writing and editing. Lisa is an avid home cook who loves kitchens and cooking gear. Her book,Your Starter Kitchen, came out in 2020.
