Lisa Grimm is an ex-archaeologist/archivist and occasional beer historian. She is the co-host of Beer Ladies Podcast, a certified beer judge by the Beer Judge Certification Program, and an even more occasional homebrewer. Lisa began writing for Serious Eats in 2011 and currently lives in Dublin, Ireland. In addition to Serious Eats, she has written for Philly Beer Scene Magazine, The New York Times, and Table Matters. She won an award for her homebrew in 2003.

What is your desert island food?

I love, and miss, authentic NYC bagels. I would do all kinds of intemperate things for a breakfast sandwich from 5th Ave Bagels in Park Slope.

What is your favorite condiment?

Malt vinegar. Nothing else. Ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard are an unholy trinity.
