Experience

Maryse Chevriere is a certified sommelier who has helped guests choose the perfect wine at Terroir Natural Wine bars in New York and San Francisco, and served as Wine Director at Petit Crenn, a French bistro in San Francisco. She experienced wine-making first hand at Domaine Christian Binner in Alsace where she worked a season as a harvest intern and cellar hand.

Chevriere now teaches a wider audience through writing and drawing about seasonal wines, food pairing, and tasting notes. Find her illustrations on Instagram @freshcutgardenhose, which won a 2016 James Beard Foundation Award for humor. Her drawings have been featured in Food & Wine and Bon Appetit magazines. Chevriere was the founding drink editor at The Daily Meal.
