Experience

Ever Meister (a.k.a. Meister) lives a dual life as a writer and coffee professional. As a journalist, she writes about coffee, food, travel, culture, and music for The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Time Out NY, Rachel Ray Every Day, Food & Wine’s FWx.com, Saveur.com, Serious Eats, The Wall Street Journal, Chowhound, BUST Magazine, and Barista Magazine, among others.

In her other life as a coffee professional, Erin does more than just report on the specialty coffee industry, she is a part of it. Coffee as a career began nearly two decades ago with a job at Joe Coffee Company in New York City. Since then, Ever has worked extensively in both retail and wholesale as a store manager, barista trainer and educator, wholesale account representative, and presenter at coffee symposiums. She wrote the award-winning book New York City Coffee: A Caffeinated History (2017), which chronicles Gotham’s long love affair with coffee through stories, interviews, and photographs. To Ever, her “writing focuses on personality, character, and individuals, while her coffee career is “dedicated to access and sustainability.” Erin hosts the eight-part podcast series In Good Taste, which examines the marketing ethnics of the specialty coffee industry.
