Melody has contributed cocktail stories and recipes to Serious Eats. A native of Canada's west coast, she founded Vancouver Food Tour in 2010, which she operated for three years before selling; eight years later, it remains one of the city's most popular culinary tour operators. After a cross-continental move to Austin, Texas, Melody went on to work for the Austin Chronicle, reviewing restaurants and writing about the food and drink scene in the state's capital.
