He grew up in the food business, helping with his father's celebrated taquería, Tacos El Veneno, founded in 1990 and eventually taking over the family business. Paco received a bachelor's degree in Communications from the Autonomous University of Sinaloa. He went on to receive a masters degree and doctorate in Education from the University of the Northern Pacific in Sinaloa.
