These soft peanut butter bars get a flavor boost from toasted sesame seeds and a crunch from puffed rice cereal.

Peanut Butter Sesame Breakfast Bars Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup puffed rice cereal, such as Kashi

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place sesame seeds in a small saucepan over medium heat. Saute until toasted and golden, about 2 minutes. Let cool.

  2. In a medium bowl, stir together honey, egg, vanilla extract, and peanut butter until evenly combined. Stir in sesame seeds and rice cereal.

  3. Spread mixture in baking dish. Bake until golden, about 25 minutes. Let bars cool completely before cutting.
