Each element of this fall cocktail from Gramercy Tavern mingles with the others beautifully; be sure to use an earthier, dry style of mead. They use Schraml at Gramercy Tavern, but if you can't find that at your local wine or beer store, you can also use Lurgashall.

Ransom Note Recipe

Serves 1 serving

Ingredients

For Honey Syrup:

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup water

For the Cocktail:

  • Ice

  • 2 ounces Ransom Old Tom Gin

  • 3/4 ounce honey syrup

  • 3/4 ounce dry mead such as Schraml

  • 1/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice

Directions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add gin, honey syrup, mead, and lemon.

    Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass.
