Whether you call them stuffin's or muffings, stuffing muffins are one of the best ways to enjoy the best side dish on the Thanksgiving table. Baking standard stuffing in individual buttered muffin tins makes for individual serving-sized stuffin's that are moist in the center with crisp edges all around.

How to Scale Down This Recipe to Feed a Smaller Crowd

This recipe can be scaled down by half. To do it: Divide all ingredients by two; use 2 eggs instead of 3; use 1 muffin tin instead of the 2 called for below.

  1. Adjust oven rack to center position and preheat oven to 400°F. Butter two 12-well muffin tins. Divide stuffing evenly between wells (you may not need all 24 wells). Transfer to oven and bake until golden brown and crisp all over, about 45 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes. Run a thin metal spatula around each stuffin and carefully remove from tin. Serve.
