Experience

My name is Shri Repp and I run the IACP-nominated food website Moon Rice, which focuses on teaching folks about Indian cooking. In addition, I am a culinary instructor in the Seattle area, a recipe developer, and writer who has been featured in publications like Bon Appetit and Food52.

My mission in all my work is to demystify Indian cooking. I come from a science background and I apply the same testing and experimental approach to publishing recipes, often running experiments to answer questions like what rice yields the best dosa. A major goal of my work is to showcase that Indian cooking is not static but rather constantly evolving through the diaspora.
