Suze is a French aperitif with a delicately bitter gentian root flavor. Its mild sweetness and hints of citrus and wildflowers make it a wonderful partner for sparkling wine, especially with the addition of a little elderflower liqueur.

Sparkling Suze Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3/4 ounce Suze

  • 1 1/4 ounces St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur

  • 4 ounces chilled Cava

  • Lemon twist, for garnish

Directions

  1. Add Suze and St-Germain to a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir until well chilled, about 15 seconds. Strain into a Champagne flute and top with Cava. Garnish with lemon twist.
