The Dutch Oven from The Hawthorne Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 sugar cubes
  • 3 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
  • 1 dash Regans' Orange Bitters
  • 1 capful soda water
  • 2 ounces Barrel Aged Bols Genever
  • 1 two-inch piece grapefruit twist

Directions

  1. Place sugar cubes, bitters, and soda water in a mixing glass. Muddle into a smooth paste. Add Genever, ice, and stir.

  2. Place ice ball or large ice cube in double old fashioned glass and strain cocktail over the ice. Squeeze grapefruit twist over the top and rub around the rim. Serve.
