There’s something satisfying about making a great version of your favorite drink. Whether you’re a professional bartender or casually mixing drinks at home, it can be nice to go through the usual steps while handling familiar ingredients and wind up with something you know you’ll like. Making the same drinks over and over again, however, can also become very boring. If you’ve fallen into a tedious cocktail routine, an exciting new expression of gin can help you break out of your rut: Bombay Bramble.

You have no choice but to make exciting new cocktails with Bombay Bramble because no other gin is made quite like it. For one thing, it’s made with fresh blackberries and raspberries that have been harvested at peak ripeness, ensuring that they give their full vibrancy and flavor to the gin. Unlike most infused spirits, there’s no additional sugar added during the process. Keeping Bombay Bramble 100% natural is more time-consuming than dumping in artificial colors and flavors, but you’ll find the extra effort pays off as soon as you experience its sophisticated and rich berried taste.

While the blackberries and raspberries provide a strong and complex flavor, the expression proves to be exceptionally versatile. Bombay Bramble can elevate relatively straightforward recipes, turning a simple mix of gin, lemonade, and club soda into an effervescent and exciting cocktail. Bombay Bramble can also add new dimensions to familiar favorites like the Negroni, but where it really shines is as a source of inspiration for bold new recipes. For anyone who thought they’d exhausted every possibility of gin, Bombay Bramble will have you excited to start experimenting all over again.

Still, even when working with such a versatile and inspiring spirit, it can be daunting to come up with an entirely new recipe from scratch. That’s why we’re sharing some of our favorite ways to showcase Bombay Bramble. Once you sample these delicious recipes, you might think of some other ways to express your creativity in the form of an original gin cocktail.

When thinking about constructing cocktails, there are few templates as sturdy and versatile as the trio of spirit, citrus, and sweetener. It’s a good balance that can become transcendent when you use premium ingredients for each of those elements. This recipe is an example of the classic formula at its finest, using Bombay Bramble as a bright and flavorful spirit base, freshly squeezed lemon juice for the citrus bite, and a mix of Crème de Cacao and orgeat as a subtle source of sweetness. It all adds up to a delightfully refreshing cocktail that is equally at home during a summer barbecue or cozy winter evening. The egg white isn’t required but is a nice way to give the drink an irresistible velvety texture.

  • ½ oz Crème de Cacao

  • ½ oz Orgeat

  • 1 Egg white (optional)

You might be tempted to err on the side of more when crafting a cocktail, throwing a bunch of ideas and ingredients together to see what happens. That can lead to inspired and original drinks, but as is the case with any art form, restraint is often key. Sometimes you only need three ingredients to create a masterpiece. That’s certainly the case with the Bramble Bee’s Knees, when Bombay Bramble gin, lemon juice, and honey syrup come together in perfect harmony. One sip is enough to realize that a simple drink doesn’t have to be boring, as long as it’s made with Bombay Bramble.
