Tiffany Vickers Davis is a food writer and product tester focused on finding the excellence in every category of culinary equipment. Specializing in classic culinary work, she has had a 22-year career including time in high-end commercial kitchens, test kitchens and her own prepared meal company. She has experience with everything from small wares to commercial equipment for large scale food production.

Experience

After her first career in public relations Tiffany developed her cooking skills and completed the La Technique program at the French Culinary Institute. She returned to Chapel Hill to work for renowned chef Bill Smith at Crook's Corner. From there she moved to Charleston to attend Johnson & Wales University, earning her culinary degree while working in some of Charleston's best restaurant kitchens.

In 2001, Tiffany joined the test kitchens of Cooking Light magazine. She worked there for 13 years, ascending to the position of test kitchen director. In 2014, Tiffany launched her own prepared meal company with a longtime chef friend, manning the operations and culinary and nutrition development areas of the business.

Tiffany is a single parent, culinary entrepreneur and freelancer with a very busy life, avidly interested in health and wellness through food. She is a lover of culinary gear, always looking for the newest and best products that will save her time and frustration. She recently renovated her own kitchen and knows well how important the right decisions are for the success of any chef or home cook. Tiffany contributes to Serious Eats as a product tester and writer.
