Experience

Tracie’s eye for visual design and love of food proved to be a winning combination at Serious Eats. She used her design talent and expertise to lead her team through major redesign projects to improve the look and functionality of the Serious Eats website.  After a delicious encounter with a bag of Takis on a Texas road trip, Tracie enlisted her colleagues to taste test flavors and wrote a review of the iconic Mexican snack. Tracie's affinity for tacos inspired her to co-found Lonestar Taco, a Tex Mex taco business in Brooklyn focused on house-made tortillas and fresh, locally sourced ingredients.  She expresses her artistic sensibility and interests in food, travel, and culture through writing and photography on her website ambienttraffic.net. Tracie is the executive director of design at The New York Times.
