Veronica Meewes is the marketing and outreach coordinator for Caritas Austin and a freelance writer specializing in food and beverage, travel, and lifestyle features. She spent her childhood in New Jersey, then studied writing and photography at Sarah Lawrence College. After graduation, she traveled around the country before deciding on the sunny capital of Texas, where she lives with her husband, two cats, and a dog. (The only thing missing is a decent bagel!)
