I just caught up with my Office-watching after a long weekend in Dallas. If you haven't seen last Thursday's episode, here's a clip to whet your appetite (and it won't really give that much away). In it, Michael tries to eavesdrop on a meeting between Jim and Dunder-Mifflin CFO David Wallace by having Andy sneak him into the conference room in a tablecloth-bedecked cart bearing a cheese platter. The real gold is in listening to Andy try to wax elegant about the processed cheesefood on offer (American cheese singles, Parmesan shakey cheese, and blue cheese dressing).
'The Office' Cheese Platter
"From the Wisconsin region, a nice firm cheddar. Also from the great state of Wisconsin, an aged Parmesan. Uh, here you will find a cheddar-style spread, which has reacted nicely with the air to form a light rind, which I think you'll find both challenging and delicious. At that point, I would recommend you take a quick trip south of the border to the great state of Illinois, where you will find this fine blue cheese dressing. If I may be so bold, it's a lot of fun to let the goldfish take a little swim in the blue cheese. Bon appétit"
The funny thing was that I was enjoying my own cheese plate as I watched--some Brillat-Savarin, a bit of Cotswold, and some Rogue Creamery Smokey Blue. No Goldfish, though, sadly.
