Experience

Yasmine is an Associate Editor at Serious Eats. She writes roundups, explainers, and reported stories while also helping manage and run the brand's social media accounts. Her feature writing strives to offer a platform for others to share their stories. Yasmine got her start at Serious Eats as an intern before being hired full-time. Her experience in food spans decades, having been an avid eater for more than 25 years, and she considers herself a voracious home cook. You can find her at Bleecker Street Pizza on any given weekend.

Prior to joining Serious Eats, Yasmine was an intern at Women's Health, where she wrote about all things beauty, and L'Officiel USA, where she covered fashion, pop culture, and entertainment.

Yasmine's Favorite Condiment: Yasmine is never without a bottle of Valentina hot sauce in her pantry. The flavor of the red label beats out Tabasco sauce any day, but she's sad (and a little embarrassed) to report that she can't handle the heat of the black label.

Education

Yasmine earned a Bachelor of Arts in Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communications from James Madison University, and a Master of Arts in Journalism from New York University.
